Dr. Sarang Patil
Dr. Sarang Patil is a qualified and renowned holistic health practitioner in the region. He has been a successful clinician with diverse expertise. He is known for integrating various evidence based therapies of alternative and complementary medicine effectively in the management of stress borne and lifestyle related diseases.
He completed his Ph.D. from Swami Vivekananda Yoga University at Bangalore under the guidance of Dr. Sherly Telles and Dr. H.R. Nagendra, the distinguished names in yoga research. During his doctoral research he studied a battery of psycho-physiological variables before, during and after the practice of a unique meditation technique called Cyclic Meditation (CM). This work contributed to define meditation as ‘a state of wakeful rest with sustained and selective attention’. Today CM is applied as an effective therapeutic tool in the management of psychosomatic diseases and stress. He has published five original research papers on CM in leading international medical journals. His current research and case reports have showed that comprehensive lifestyle changes can reverse malignancies.
Currently, Dr. Sarang Patil works as medical director at Anandkunj. He is keen to setup a research facility where various Integrative treatment modules could be validated by randomized controlled trails. He has devised several Integrative treatment programs useful in prevention, treatment and clinical rehabilitation of different conditions.
In 1995 Dr. Sarang Patil received his medical degree and training in yoga and naturopathic medicine from well-known SDM College and Hospital of Yoga and Naturopathy of Mangalore University. He was the first physician to receive such qualification and license from state of Maharashtra. He has been active member of various professional bodies like Association of Physiologists and Pharmacologists of India (APPI) and Indian Naturopathy and Yoga Medical Graduates Association (INYMA). In past he has worked as Research Fellow at Swami Vivekananda Yoga University, Bangalore and as Assistant Professor at Department of Swasth Vrutta and Community Medicine at Ganga Ayurvedic Medical College, Kolhapur. Presently he also contributes in policy making as governing body member of National Institute of Naturopathy (NIN) Pune, autonomous body under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India.
Dr. Patil is a powerful motivator. He as health trainer conducts workshops on topics like stress management, personality development, yoga therapy for specific diseases, healthy diet & nutrition and happy family. Also he is the author of many best-selling books on AUT, yoga, diet and nutrition. He is journal Reviewer for pub-med-indexed peer reviewed ‘Indian Journal of Yoga (iJOY)’ published from Bangalore. He is often invited by media stations, health magazines, newspapers, corporate health fairs and conference organizers as a guest speaker, writer and contributor. He has presented research papers in many national and international conferences.
Dr. Patil is personally touched by successfully helping those patients who have not responded to other treatments or those who are looking for holistic, non-toxic options. His team approach with the patient incorporates education, self-motivation, nutrition and holistic therapies to enhance one’s health and well-being.
